How to Create a PayPal "Add to Cart" Button

 If you are new to PayPal, open a PayPal Premiere Account. You can upgrade to a Business Account later if the volume increases. http://www.paypal.com
1. Sign in to your account and click Merchant Services.

2. Click Add to Cart Button.

3. Select "Choose a button type" dropdown list. Select Shopping Cart.  
4. In the "Item Name" field, create a short version of the eBook title. In the "Item ID" field, enter a very short ID.  
5. In the "Price" field, enter the price of the eBook. Ensure "USD" is displayed (indicating US funds).  
Ignore "Shipping" and "Tax" fields.  
6. In the "Merchant account IDs" select Use my primary email address.  
Ignore PayPal's STEP 2, Track Inventory, profit and loss.

7. Click Create Button.

8. Click Select Code button. The Cart button is complete. Now you need to save it in a text file (see below).  
Saving the Code on Your Computer  
1. On your computer, click CTRL C (or Edit => Copy) while the code is highlighted (turns blue). If you lose the blue highlighting while trying to copy it, just click Select Code again on the PayPal screen.  
2. On your computer, open a blank Notepad or Wordpad file. This must be a text only file and contain no formatting. Do Not use Microsoft Word.  
3. On your computer, place your cursor in the blank Notepad screen, click CTRL V (or Edit => Paste).  
4. On your computer, from the Notepad tool bar, click File => Save As.  
5. In the Save in: field at the top of the Notepad window, navigate to My Documents.

6. Create a New Folder and name it PayPal. You can see the "Create New Folder" icon to the right. create folder  
7. In the File name: field, enter a file name for the new Notepad file, for example, PayPal-Button.  
8. In the Save as type: field, select Text Document. This is very important as this file must be text only.  
9. Click Save.

Email the PayPal Cart Button to Us

Send the above TEXT document to us attached to an email.
1. Create a NEW email in your email software (Outlook, Thunderbird, Gmail, etc.).
2. In the Subject field, enter PayPal Cart Button.
3. In the Message Field, enter your name, telephone number, email address and a message indicating the name of the eBook title to be used with this button.
4. In your email software, select INSERT or ATTACH => navigate to My Documents => PayPal Folder (or wherever you have the PayPal button saved), select "PayPal-Button." The filename now displays somewhere in the email header.
5. Click SEND.
